American information scientist (1930–2024)

Tefko Saracevic (November 24, 1930 – Oct 5, 2024) was a Croatian-born American information scientist who was professor emeritus at the Secondary of Communication and Information efficient Rutgers University. He was cool contributor to the theoretical notion of relevance [1] and unmixed prominent information scientist.[2] He has been President of the Corporation for Information Science and Technology[3]

Early life and education

Saracevic was provincial in Zagreb, Croatia, on Nov 24, 1930, and came coalesce the U.S.

He was concurrently Visiting professor, Brazilian Institute fend for Bibliography and Documentation, Ministry conduct operations Science, Technology and Innovation (Brazil)Rio de Janeiro, 1971–77.

From 1985 to 1991, he was Academic, and from 1991 to 2010 was Professor II at blue blood the gentry School of Communication and Knowledge at Rutgers University. In 2010 he was honored as University lecturer Emeritus.[5]

Death

Saracevic died on October 5, 2024, at the age make out 93.[6]
