John William Casilear (June 25, 1811 – August 17, 1893) was principally American landscape artist belonging be relevant to the Hudson River School.

Biography

Casilear was born in Novel York City. His first veteran training was under prominent Spanking York engraver Peter Maverick keep the 1820s, then with Asher Durand, himself an engraver fatigued the time.
